Job Description : Job Summary: Fust Charles Chambers LLP, a premier accounting, tax and advisory services Firm in Central New York is seeking a Data Analyst that is looking to apply their data analysis skills and experience in delivering services to the Firm’s clients and learn and grow within the Firm.Duties/Responsibilities: Various data analysis responsibilities associated with performance auditsDevelop, implement and update testing methodologies and audit programs to determine compliance with various regulations, laws, policies and proceduresGather and analyze financial and other data/information related to the engagementInterpret data and analyze outcomes to ensure accurate testing resultsDocument test work performed in clear and concise workpapers providing audit trail of work performedResearch legislation, interpret regulations and apply to data analysis to determine complianceApply audit skepticism throughout data analysis and test workProvide on-going updates and reportsIdentify and escalate audit or data issues and concernsRequirements: Degree in Data Science or Analytics, Business Administration or AccountingProven working experience analyzing dataProven project management skills and strong organizational skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyIntermediate Excel skills required, advanced Excel skills and knowledge of IDEA data analysis software preferredAbility to understand and resolve complex problems and ability to manipulate data pointsAdept at data queries, report writing and presenting findingsAudit experience and healthcare experience preferredStrong oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills1-3 years’ experience in a public accounting or private company environment, preferably with some data analysis experienceLimited travel, 10% or less.Our culture places great emphasis on integrity, teamwork and quality of life.
