To that end, we believe in empowering not only our patients but our employees as well through creation of a safe work environment.We are looking for a compassionate telephone operator who will be responsible for answering multi-line telephone, triaging calls, taking messages, and scheduling appointments. The telephone operator serves as a liaison between caller and medical support staff.SKILLS: Must have experience with customer service and multi-line phonesExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be familiar with Medical TerminologyBasic typing and keyboarding skills.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Familiarity with computers and other office equipment.Maintain calm and positive attitude in stressful situations. Have the ability to respond to changing workload and work environmentMust be a team player and work in order to accomplish common goals in the departmentMust be able to multi task and work in a fast paced environmentMust have the ability to maintain professionalism at all times.Ability to complete work tasks in timely manner.Ability to accept accountability for actions daily by utilization of self-evaluation, patient evaluations, and supervisor evaluations to modify job performance.Must maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and HIPPA guidelines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Operates the multi-line telephone system to answer, screen and forward calls in a high volume phone environment.Provide information regarding inquiries in a professional manner.Effectively communicate with patients’, physicians and other staff both within the Clinic and at outside facilities providing accurate, timely, and responsive information.Ensure efficient telephone communication.Follow all written protocols and procedures of the Clinic.Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their familiesUtilize computer to obtain pertinent information.Additional Information: The ideal candidates will be able to balance the above tasks while maintaining flexible, friendly interaction with clients and staff. The ability to work independently, proactively and adapt appropriately to changing priorities. This is a demanding but rewarding position with room for growth. As a growing medical practice, our patients come first.
