Job Description : Investment AnalystNew York, NYonly open to applicants currently living in NYC areaOpportunityPrivate, prestigious, and sophisticated single-family office is looking for an Investment Analyst to work directly with the Chief Investment Officer to help manage a sizeable investment portfolio. Our office benefits from extraordinary direct access to the world’s leading investment firms and individuals due to our founding family, Trustees, asset size and experience. Working in this office will be a career-making experience for the right person. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of full-time work experience at an investment bank or asset management firm and be interested in attending business school after 1-2 years in the role.Responsibilities· Assist in the ongoing, active and systematic monitoring activities of diverse investments across public and private markets· Provide regular updates on performance (absolute and relative returns, IRRs, multiple of capital, % called/distributed, DPI, etc.) with the use of a best-in-class third-party performance reporting software system and measure investments against relevant benchmarks or comparables· Work our third-party reporting software to model exposure/cash flows for the overall portfolio and for individual funds· Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing investments and prospective opportunities. Examples include: attribution of p&l by deal and fund; correlation to other investments; exposure/leverage metrics, position count, $ and name turnover in funds; AUM; new product launches; insider investments; 13F changes and overlap with other investments· Help track and review key documents such as manager letters, monthly, quarterly and annual investment reports, tax statements, investment policy changes, and legal documentsQualifications· Demonstrates unquestioned ethics and credibility· An undergraduate degree and strong academic track record· Strong quantitative, qualitative, and problem-solving analytical skills· High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint· Knowledge and passion for financial markets· High degree of intellectual curiosity and not afraid to ask questions· Demonstrate sense of personal accountability with attention to detail· Comfortable with being wrong; seeks to learn from mistakes and willing to put in the effort necessary to get the job done with a proactive “no-job-is-too-small” attitudeTo apply, please submit a CV with brief cover letter.Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:The company’s building takes all reasonable COVID-19 precautions.Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
