Position : Immigration Assistant
Job Description : General Purpose:
The Immigration Practice Group assists technology and healthcare companies with business immigration visas. The Immigration Assistant leverages an attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to support the immigration team in preparation of straightforward visas or immigration process steps, assisting with document revisions and tracking cases and deadlines.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for handling straightforward non-immigrant visa cases such as E-2s or steps of PERM recruitment processes; tracking case information; drafting, editing, and transmitting documents to immigration clients; editing complex documents pursuant to instructions, such as notices of filing or prevailing wage requests; requesting documents from clients; reviewing documents for nuanced completion/issues; compiling supporting documents; drafting responsive letters to requests for additional documentation and requests to expedite; providing clients with e-mail responses; providing status updates to the Immigration Team on all cases; and assisting with general tracking of documents in immigration software and other sites.
Responsible for copying petitions/applications; scanning documents and putting them on the N drive; organizing files; entering immigration information into the immigration software; and attending case meetings with attorneys.
Assists the immigration team with all other duties, as necessary.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and excellent proofreading skills.
Ability to type at least 60wpm.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to learn quickly.
Willingness to take initiative and ownership and to assist the Immigration Team with all projects.
No previous immigration or legal assistant experience is required.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee must have the ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time; manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds; have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment; speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand; and regularly understand the speech of another person.

CO salary range -$22.42-$37.37. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
