And we want your help.General PurposeThe Wellness Champion will analyze the current state of Canvas employees, ranging from physical to mental health and develop a strategy aimed at improving the lives of our employees. They will lead the creation and implementation of company-wide wellness initiatives, programs and activities that support wellness within our five wellness pillars, physical, mental, financial, social and workplace wellness.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead a comprehensive, corporate wellness program.Coordinate, plan, and facilitate health and fitness activities and programs for employees.Develop and implement promotion and publicity plans for wellness and fitness programs throughout the organization.Work with employees to set fitness goals, create customized fitness programs and efforts to meet those goals.Support a balanced fitness program which meets the needs of the population and follows health/wellness/fitness trends.Develop partnerships with branches aimed at improving health outcomesPlan and implement classes, speakers, seminars, personal training, and fitness assessments that promote healthy lifestyles.Responsible to coordinate and communicate wellness workshops and seminars.Collaborating with wellness squad and others to lead wellness initiatives for Canvas.Provide support to the planning, management, and continual evaluation of fitness programs and equipment throughout the company.Manage the wellness department’s budget and ensuring cost-efficient operations.Provide general nutritional guidance.Assist in developing, managing, and executing various annual health, wellness, and fitness programs, products, and services.Perform familiarization tours of fitness facilities, facility oversight and logistics, etc.Provide written weekly activity reports to leadership.Develop and maintain service/demand and performance metrics for fitness and wellness program management.Draft and maintain accurate, confidential records and reports as required to track and assess employee participation, program costs, and benefits to the company.Draft reports and proposals for wellness initiatives and action plans (including cost-benefit analyses) for presentation to upper management.Keep informed on developments and trends in the wellness field, particularly with regard to new methodologies, services, and technological advances.Recommend, develop and implement new policies and procedures.Follow all safety and security guidelines to properly safeguard member and organization assets.Comply with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other compliance requests and requirements.Embrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications.Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.Perform other job duties as assigned.Pre-employment drug test and thorough background review (components include: criminal, employment, address, social security number, motor vehicle record, global sanctions, sex offender, and credit)Job QualificationsKnowledge, Skill and Ability:Proven ability to design effective and motivating wellness presentations and training programs.Strong relationship building and teamwork skills with ability to develop and maintain consultative relationships with Canvas family members.Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Recognized ability to build and maintain new vendor and partner relationships.Experience in an environment with delegating workload and responsibilities.Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Ability to maintain confidences. Position requires strict confidentiality of all employee records and information and requires incumbent to sign a confidentiality agreement.Education or Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field.The starting pay range for this position is $65,000.00-$75,000.00/annual, and final pay rate will be determined based on experience and internal equity factors.Working Environment/Physical ActivitiesHigh volume, faced-paced, dynamic office environment with some travel. They will function virtually and in-person, across the Canvas branch network, as well as the home office to lead their initiatives. Must be able to attend meetings and events outside of regular business hours. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
