Position : Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description : A real estate investment trust located in the Denver Tech Center is seeking an accounts payable specialist to process payments from vendors and team members in multiple states. This organization is seeking a candidate who can work in a fast paced, high volume environment with experience in accounts payable.This organization’s mission is to provide quality apartment homes in a respectful environment delivered by team members who care. With beautiful communities in over 15 states, this organization reaches the needs of many people throughout the country.AP Specialist Responsibilities: · Reconcile invoices and bills and verify balances to general ledger.· Review expense reports for accuracy and proper allocations.· Participate in Accounts Payable monthly close process.· Execute routine month-end accounting functions (recording of accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations etc.).· Prepare accounts for payments & verify data in system.· Research variances as needed.AP Specialist Requirements: · 2+ years’ of AP experience working in a fast-paced environment· Experience using financial systems such as Oracle, Peoplesoft and/or Coupa· Microsoft office (Excel skills a must)· Strong communication skills· Self-starter with ability to work independently and with a team· Basic understanding of accounting concepts related Accounts PayableBenefits: · Balanced work life environment· medical, dental, life insurance· short-term and long-term disability plans· Discounts on pet insurance· HSA with company sponsored contribution· FSA (Traditional & Dependent Care FSA)· Employee Stock Purchase Discount· 401k MatchThis is a hybrid position with three days in office in the DTC and two days from home.
