Job Description : We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the Rosetta Hall in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.ResponsibilitiesID Checking at front DoorPatrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presenceMonitor and authorize entrance groups and individualsRemove wrongdoers or trespassers from the areaSecure all exits, doors and windows after end of operationsProvide assistance to people in needReport perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authoritiesSubmit reports of surveillance activity and important occurrences to Head of SecuritySkillsProven experience as security officer or guardKnowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safetyFamiliarity with report writingExcellent surveillance and observation skillsTrained in First Aid/BLS and self-defenseRegistered as a security officerHigh School diploma is requiredPerks & BenefitsShift meal40% discount for friends and family when off-dutyShift beer or wineRTD EcopassJob Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountSchedule:Weekend availabilityEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Security: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
