Job Description:

Allied Universal is currently hiring an Regional training manager to provide program leadership and training activities in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, and Allied Universal standards which will include CPR/First Aid/AED; Defensive Tactics (e.g. handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms); Mobility Devices (e.g. vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway); Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations; and evacuation drills); and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.
The position is the regional training manager (senior leader) for the Allied Universal exclusive contract currently in place for security professional and Law enforcement services provided to the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation (Aviation Division) across the system of airports including multiple district locations- Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Hawaii (Kona/ Hilo). The regional training leader supervises and is programmatically responsible for the delivery of all training and compliance requirements which prepare and equip Airport-assigned Allied personnel to perform airport security and LE services- 24/7/365. The regional training manager is assigned fulltime to the Daniel K. Inouye International airport and supervises and or aligns the daily activities of district training staff assigned at each airport. The regional training manager reports to the Director of Operations, Allied Universal.
Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead and communicate program goals and status with stakeholders (Allied leadership, Field operations, LE/Security Professionals, Aviation consultants, Regulatory agencies (TSA), Field and Corporate Training assets, and Client leadership).
Primary Allied leader responsible for efficient and effective delivery of federally regulated training compliance programs specific to CFR 49 Part 1542 (airport security operations).
Lead and deliver contractor field training programs in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations (emphasis on aviation regulations), and Allied Universal standards.
Lead and deliver training programs adhering to all regulatory and state of the art tactics, techniques and procedures including alignment with multiple post-orders specific to airport security/LE operations at check points, vehicle gate, inspections, audits and response activities across the airport jurisdiction.
Conduct CPR/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
Conduct Defensive Tactics (e.g. handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms)
Training
Lead, plan, organize, coordinate, and assure the conduct of safe firearms qualifications across the airport contract.
Conduct Mobility Devices (e.g. vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway) training.
Conduct field training for Security Professionals and Supervisors.
Deliver Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens, and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.
Lead, develop, adapt, resource, and deliver training work plans and schedules that meet and or exceed the timely training of Allied security/ LE assets assigned to perform duties across the contract jurisdiction.
Identify, conduct vetting, and establish relationships with local area training academies to provide support in the form of external training opportunities.
Work in conjunction with operational partners (Human Resource Coordinators/Branch Managers) to develop practical training programs at the branch level in order to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory mandated training.
Conduct leadership training such as the Certified Security Professional program to Security Professionals and Supervisors.
Conduct special projects on an as-needed basis to support the region
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or experience required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Some college education or business classes desirable. Certification in security, safety or training field desirable.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of professional-level supervisory experience required. Prior experience in the fire service, security industry, law enforcement and/or military highly desired. Experience in aviation security operations or other functions of security industry a plus.
Possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines. Must be highly organized and able to keep on track with required information available at all times.
This position requires excellent attendance and punctuality. Incumbents must commit to being on time, must be able to work in a very independent environment, and ensure all responsibilities are completed on time.
Ability to write manuals, review and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations is required. Must be highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint are essential, and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology including PDAs, Outlook and Internet applications.
Ability to deliver specific training programs in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, and Allied Universal standards; CPR/First Aid/AED; Defensive Tactics (e.g. handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms); Mobility Devices (e.g. vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway); Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations; and evacuation drills); provide other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.
Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player.
Must customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the normal course of day-to-day activities to schedule appointments in order to carry out responsibilities.
