Job Description : General Maintenance Technician SUMMARY: Our General Maintenance Technicians engage in maintaining and repairing physical structures of our residential living community (apartment) buildings and units and support grounds maintenance and security in order to provide an exceptional living experience for our residents.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:· Perform structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings, drywall repair, painting, fencing; may also include minor roof repairs.· Minor electrical maintenance/repair, including use of voltage tester; ability to reset breaker; replacement of light fixtures, bulbs, smoke/carbon detectors, and like duties.· Minor plumbing maintenance/repair, including repairing/replacing valves, cartridge replacement, disposal clearing and resetting, drain snaking, water heater adjustments, etc.· Responsible for pool maintenance and cleaning.· Engage in ground maintenance activities in partnership with Grounds Employee, such as parking lot maintenance, exterior building maintenance, and common areas of the community exterior, etc.· Organized to communicate with main office to order tools, supplies, equipment, and other needs as they arise.· Partner with weekend security for service requests as they may arise.EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:· 3 years similar experience as Facilities Maintenance or General Maintenance, preferably in like-industry.· Must be experienced and able to regularly use hand tools, power tools, power washer, lift equipment, ladders, etc.· Must be able to work independently with minor supervision and direction· Must be able to work weekends during regular day hours· Ability to safely and legally drive a vehicle, golf cart, etc.· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all residents and coworkers while working in a team environment· Must be able to safely perform all physical demandsJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourExperience: General Maintenance, 3 years (Required)Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required)Certification: CPO Certified (Preferred); Driver’s License (Required)Benefits:· Health insurance· Dental insurance· Vision insurance· Retirement plan· Paid time offPay Frequency: Bi-weekly or twice monthlySchedule: Monday – Sunday, Weekends requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
