The project superintendent’s responsibilities include supervision of engineering and administrative staff, communication of project status to upper management, and providing pertinent contract information and project priorities to craft supervision.Essential Functions: Monitor projects from planning to completion, while ensuring quality standards are consistently metResponsible for pre project planning tasks including but not limited to, budgeting, creating project schedule, managing logisticsEnsure project operations remain on scheduleCoordinates and manages all on site construction activitiesEngage in daily collaboration and coordination with project engineer, general foreman and project managerCommunicate schedule and budget information to the general foremanSet project priorities for field staffInvolved in construction processes including during the planning phase, construction phase and the closeout phaseImplement safety and quality guidelinesKeep track of material stock and ordersManage site work and logistics of construction sitePrepare and review project Daily Reports to document weather and field conditions, manpower and equipment, progress and conditions impacting the project, as well as Accident Reports, Quality Reports, etc.Ability to resolve pressing issues and emergenciesCorrespond with vendors, external partners and clientsCoordinate site testing and other inspection servicesEnsure that proper safety, inventory, maintenance, reporting and security procedures are followed, convey problems to stakeholdersConduct daily safety meetings and ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policyTrack labor hours, load counts, fuel usage, equipment usage and overall costPick up/deliver necessary supplies, materials and equipment as neededWeekly operation supportDaily diary notationsEquipment operations/coordinationCoordinates with equipment department for rental agreementScheduling of crew for projectsCoordinating small job requestsCoordinating of large temporary projectsCommunicates and coordinates plans with field partners (shop superintendents & project engineer)Other Tasks: Performs other related duties, as assigned.Assist other operations staff, the Vice President and President as requested.Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise field workers.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and preferably able to perform other tasks satisfactorily.
