Job Description : DENALI FAMILY SERVICES IS SEEKING A CASE MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR
About the role:
This position provides overall administration and management for the Case Management Department and is responsible for ensuring that services are appropriately coordinated with the DFS clinical and foster care units as well as with outside agencies, the consumer, and their support network.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, sound clinical and therapeutic skills, and the ability to accurately document events, provide detailed records for consumers and work with a multi-disciplinary team.
Conflict Resolution skills –
Ability to maintain positive professional working relationships and to work effectively within a team environment.
Must be organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to ensure client and employee confidentiality as prescribed by agency policy and federal law
Proficient with Microsoft applications and possess the ability to learn other software applications.
Knowledge and understanding all agency protocol, policy, procedure, plans program requirements.
Ability to act decisively and with fairness.
Ability to read, speak and write in English
Ability to pass a State and FBI background check in accordance with the State of Alaska Background Checking Unit.
Position Requirements:
An advance degree from an accredited college or university in social work, human services, psychology, or a closely related field and two (2) years professional case management or clinical experience in family and children’s services. One (1) year of experience must include supervisory responsibility.
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree (plus the expressed experience) are also eligible to apply with a commitment to complete an advanced degree
