Position : Human Resource & Elections Generalist
Job Description : Alaska’s largest locally owned certified public accounting firm is seeking a part-time (20-30 hours per week) Human Resource & Elections Generalist for its Anchorage office.Current Roles and Responsibilities: Human Resources & Recruiting· Coordinate with benefits broker on new hires/ terminations· Administer job shadow and intern programs· Assist with staff evaluation process· Perform background checks· Post jobs on web site, job boards, social media· Schedule interviews between applicants and hiring managers· Update and maintain job descriptions for internal and job posting needs· Perform phone screens and coordinate testing, when required· Coordinate university recruiting events, act as liaison between firm and universities· Assist with coordinating pension plan education and plan administrationElection & Tabulation· Ballot tabulation and related administrative duties· Light in-state travel to attend annual shareholder meetings, report results· Review proposals and engagement letters· Business development and marketing assistanceOther Roles and Responsibilities: This position could provide assistance for other departments, with the role potentially converting to full-time, benefits-eligible at that time.Skills: Strong Microsoft Word (candidates will be tested) skills. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Attention to detail crucial. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Organizational skills a must. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.Experience: Prior experience in human resources preferred.
