Position : Dishwasher
Job Description : DISHWASHERGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to work well with others in a multicultural environment.
Must be available to work overtime as required. Shift length is 12-16 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Perform duties safely, responsibly and efficiently.
Timely and predictable attendance. Arrive prepared to perform daily duties.
Perform tasks as assigned.
Exhibit professionalism and quality work standards.
Follow company and OSHA safety polices, including but not limited to policies related to Covid-19.
POSITION DETAILS
Wash dishes, cookware, cafeteria trays and flatware.
Operate, clean and maintain mechanical dishwasher.
Clean dining room after every meal.
Clean and sanitize tables, napkin holders and table dividers as needed during and after meals.
Sweep and mop floors, empty trash cans.
Restock and clean beverage machines after every meal and as needed.
Restock paper cups, napkins, condiments and cereals after every meal and as needed.
Assist with putting away and organizing freight.
Working with other dining room staff to complete assigned deep cleaning and detailing tasks.
Wash, dry, and fold kitchen towels and aprons.
Other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Remotely located in Naknek, AK. Must be willing to travel by airplane to remote location.
Due to remote location, internet access and cell phone service are limited and unreliable at best.
Approximate season contract May-July (dependent on salmon run)
QUALIFICATIONS
Able to work effectively as a part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Willing to follow directions, adhere to policies and procedures, and abide by safety and sanitation rules.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliability and ability to work long hours.
Ability to maintain respectful relationships with other employees in a stressful environment.
Ability to communicate with and listen to coworkers.
Must have or obtain an up to date Alaska Food Workers Card.
Availability to work the whole season.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to be on your feet for 12-16 hours per shift.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to work with and around seafood.
COMPENSATION
$15.85/hr starting wage.
Airfare provided from Seattle.
Room and Board provided on-site.
Union benefits.
