Position : Assembly Line Machine Operator
Job Description : Rich’s ice cream is one of the largest providers of ice cream novelties for schools in the United States. We are also the oldest ice cream manufacturer in the state of Florida! Rich’s Ice Cream is seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida! The right candidate will have the ability to set up and operate some of the equipment, but not all of the equipment, in the bakery and ice cream divisions of Rich’s Ice Cream Company. This includes the manufacturing and processing of ingredient mixes used in the manufacturing of food products at our facility.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the packing and handling of ingredients and supplies in the production process
Make necessary adjustments to the machines
Observe gauges and thermometers to determine if the product is being manufactured according to specs
Produce quality products according to specifications
Give directions to packers on equipment being operated
Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions
Where necessary, assist maintenance personnel in the maintenance and repairs of equipment
Performs assigned maintenance duties on production equipment
Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety
Maintain a clean work station and report any unsafe conditions
Prepare production reports and maintain all documentation records
Qualifications:
Good ability in mathematics, legible handwriting, and good verbal communication skills.
Must be physically capable of lifting and manually moving products weighing up to 50 lbs.
Problem-solving skills.
Strong mechanical skills.
Hydraulic and pneumatic experience is a plus.
Experience with food manufacturing is a plus.
Ability to follow all house and safety rules, Standards of Operations, and Procedures.
