Job Description
Under the limited supervision of an Administrative Analyst 4 or other supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, assists in the review, analysis, and appraisal of current department administrative procedures, organization, and performance, and helps to prepare recommendations for changes and/or revisions; does related duties. Per Executive Order 253, all state employees are required to be vaccinated by October 18, 2021 or undergo frequent testing. Please do not submit your vaccine card at this time.

Civil Service Commission Requirements (Education/Experience/License
Open to applicants who meets the following requirements: Please note that the selected candidate will be appointed provisionally and subject to a Civil Service examination. EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience involving the review, analysis, and evaluation of budget, organization, administrative practices, operational methods, management operations, or data processing applications, or any combination thereof, which shall have included responsibility for recommendation, planning, and/or implementation of improvements in a business or government agency. NOTE: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for- year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience. NOTE: A Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting may be substituted for one (1) year of indicated experience. Applicants who possess a degree from a college or university outside the United States must provide an evaluation of the transcripts from a recognized evaluation service at the time of submission. The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development requires the disclosure of all relatives and consensual personal relationships to be promptly reported directly to the Division of Human Capital Strategies (HCS) – Director’s Office. Confidentiality shall be maintained to the extent possible and practicable. This information may be shared with NJ DOL’s Equal Employment Opportunity Office and/or the NJ DOL Ethics Office as deemed necessary. Upon receiving notice of the relationship, HCS may address any situation as necessary in consultation with the EEO Office and/or the Ethics Officer. This may include, but is not limited to, the changing of reporting relationships or transferring any of the employees involved. Failure to provide notification to HCS may result in discipline up to and including termination and the denial of legal representation and indemnification by the State in the event that a lawsuit is filed having a connection with a personal relationship. Employees are under a continuing obligation to promptly report personal relationships that develop during the course of their employment.
