Job Description : THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) is seeking a highly motivated, detailed orientated person with excellent people skills to join our team as an Administrative Officer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer for the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, you will under the supervision of the Manager of Financial Administration with advanced technical work in agency accounting, budget formulation and administration, and purchasing.

Budget formulation- Responsible for the preparation of data for the submission of the annual agency budget request, a complex budget consisting of 43 funds including 6 state appropriations, 25 federal appropriations, 7 restricted revenue funds and 5 executive authorizations.
Accounting- Responsible for the development and management of an agency indirect rate that distributes agency costs to federal and state funding programs.
Procurement- Responsible for the management of all agency procurement activities. This includes receiving requests from program staff, analyzing procurement methods, selecting the appropriate method and executing the procurement.

Full-time employment.
Work Hours – 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, one hour lunch.
You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time 1 day a week in the office OR based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Qualifications:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 2; OR four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
