Position Summary:
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a hiring a Technical Assistance Manager to help Alaksan business owners secure federal funding. This person should have familiarity working with the Small Business Administration, SBDC, and federal loan programs as well as a experience working with Alaska financial institutions. The successful candidate must have an understanding of current small business challenges and the available technical assistance resources available to business owners.
The Alaska Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hiring a Technical Assistance Manager to work with very small businesses (10 employees or less) and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals across Alaska to help them secure federal funding.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial institutions and funding mechanisms, experience as a small business owner or working with small businesses, and a high level of comfort developing and delivering training across Alaska (both in-person and remote).
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and five years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree preferred. Previous business ownership or management experience preferred.
