Location – Ahmedabad
The Operations Lead is typically responsible for the supervision and oversight of a team and/or of workflow and functions. The Lead may perform regular business activities but in the main has responsibilities for people management, workflow, training and performance of controls. This would include to a large degree oversight of performance to Key Performance, Risk Indicators and Service level agreements. They have expertise or deeper understanding of process, product and/or the business and play a key role in facilitating communication between functional teams, sharing knowledge and good practice. They lead and foster the team dynamic, often providing resource strategy input and focus on process and performance efficiency. They are responsible for analysis, change and continuous improvement as well as the first or second level escalation point for the team. The Operations Lead proactively identifies, escalates and takes steps to substantially mitigate risk issues within and outside of direct main business area and is also responsible for building, fostering and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders (internal and/or external) and in particular around the more time critical, complex or regulated tasks.

Job Description
Will be based out of the GIFT City branch
Will be responsible for day to day operations of the branch
Will be the single point contact for the Regulators and Auditors from MIS and Regulatory reporting perspective
Tracking Inward Transaction for processing / settlement.
KYC updation for client in IFSC.
Signature Verification (wherever required).All pre-processing activities (including scanning, WON creation, ref ID, etc).
Scanning to Processing Hub (Deutsche India).
Preparation of Buyer’s Credit Offers (this task can also be given to TF Resource as a back up).
All post processing activities including any query/MIS/ record keeping at IFSC.
Tracking of due dates and monitoring / escalation of overdues.
Reconciliation related functions.
MRP substantiation.
BCM docs handling.
Processing /settlement of Money market trades
Processing /settlement of FX trades
Regulatory Reporting under Ops responsibility.
All the other miscellaneous operations functions.
Support other products as and when required.
Manage desk independently & ensure work life balance.
The desk involves working Indian time zone of 5 day week and daily 9:30 am to 7:00 pm & alternate working Saturdays.
The Trade Operational processes managed by the desk is time critical & is governed by multiple regulations issued by regulators, thus candidate if possible needs to have comprehensive knowledge of external guidelines along with processing knowledge of the products dealt in the local markets or should be willing to pick up the process by putting extra efforts to learn and adapt.
People Management – Managing multiple business desks and Stakeholder requirements
Your skills and experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Word a must.
Good communication skills, oral and written.
Ability to take initiative and coordinate with all stakeholders (Business, Internal stake holders & Regional teams).
Problem solving attitude and resolving conflicting situations.
Ability to adhere to tight deadlines and accuracy in pressure situations
A customer and service orientation to ensure that outcomes are achieved in line with the organization’s expectations.
Your qualification
Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Financial industry / 3 to 4 years’ experience in the Trade Finance.
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines in Trade Finance and Treasury would be beneficial.
CDCS and CSDG would be added advantage.
