Job Description : Photographer/ VideographerCompany Description: Cloth & Paper is a retailer of minimal and luxe stationery and planning supplies. Along with a successful e-commerce shop, Cloth & Paper curates two monthly subscription boxes. Our Penspiration Box ships a collection of hard-to-find pens and pencils, while our Stationery Box curates a wide range of planner and office supplies. Both boxes have a passionate and growing following. We recently made the Inc. 5000 2021 List for the fastest-growing private companies in America, rated 242nd overall, 6th in Virginia and 2nd in Richmond and our CEO was recently featured on Forbes.com.We are now looking for an enthusiastic Photographer/Videographer to join our growing creative team, on either a full-time OR contract basis. This role is new to the Company and will be a integral part of a strategy to improve website photography and social media video content to continue our past growth levels. We are currently open to considering a wide base of skill sets and experience levels.Job Summary: The Photographer/Videographer will complete photo/video assignments for use in a media publication and/or an organization’s promotional materials, internal communications, or for other purposes.Duties/Responsibilities:Uses professional expertise and skill to capture professional, high-quality images; assignments will primarily include product photography, but may also include portraits, events and other opportunities and needs.Selects and uses appropriate photographic and/or video equipment to record events and subjects for social media and web content.Enhances the appearance of subjects with natural or artificial light.Uses photo editing software and applications to edit, crop, and enhance photographs.For images that will accompany written content, coordinates with writers and/or editors to ensure photographs will present a unified message matching the purpose,Ensures equipment is in proper working order and supplies are stocked.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Thorough understanding of techniques, equipment, and processes related to photography.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to give instruction and direction to subjects to be photographed.Visually creative.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or other related software used for retouching and enhancing images.Special consideration will be given to applicants with thorough videography and product photography experienceEducation and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or bachelor’s degree in Photography or a closely related field highly preferred.At least two years of related experience preferred.Portfolio of prior work required.Must be located or relocate to Richmond, VAPhysical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift, up to, 15 pounds at times.May be required to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods to capture images.Benefits (Full-Time Employment)After 90-DaysHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceAfter 1 Year: Paid holidaysPaid vacation401 KOther benefits include: Day off for your birthday every year starting immediately2 days of sick time starting immediatelyThis job posting was last updated: 3.16.2022Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $15.00 – $75.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offVision insuranceAbility to commute/relocate:Henrico, VA 23228: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):What is your expectation for Salary, Hourly Rate, etc.?Please provide a link to your portfolio or website here, or email it to haley@clothandpaper.comExperience:Filming: 1 year (Preferred)Product Photography: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
