The selected applicant will participate in the dynamic development of proposals to our customers which include NASA, U.S. Air Force, Lockheed Martin, Boeing and many others. If you have the desire to participate in programs that ensure national security and space exploration, come join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to be involved in all aspects of proposal development and resulting programs through contracts with our customers.
This position is located in Promontory, Utah.
Job Description
Works with new business capture teams on proposal efforts; edits/re-writes and formats information received from the proposal team; compiles cost, schedule and technical elements in the development of proposal volumes in accordance with request for proposal (RFP); coordinates with functional departments in the compilation, production, and delivery of final proposal documents in accordance with the RFP.
Writes, edits, and performs final layout of technical documents to communicate clearly and be compliant with program specific, export control, distribution, and proprietary marking requirements and internal branding guidelines. Coordinates with graphic artists in preparation of illustrative materials, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts for proposals and technical documents. Conducts quality review of materials. Coordinates with technical artists to create graphics and images for proposals and internal and external documents and ensures all graphics adhere to RFP or other requirements.
This position will be a team player in the Communications and Media Services department and assist or back up other members of the team.
Responsibilities include:
Create, maintain and update program plans, technical reports, technical papers, presentations and other program or communications documents.
Perform new business proposal section rewriting, editing and proofing.
Edit/rewrite and format technical reports, technical papers, and presentations
Assist with population and management of program and proposal documentation in SharePoint web-based data environment.
Work closely with Engineering, Configuration Management, Program Management, Media Services, Communications, Business Development and other internal departments to deliver products that meet requirements, deadlines and internal branding guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in technical writing; or a master’s degree and at least 1 year of demonstrated experience in technical writing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word (in a publishing environment), Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint (graphics creation and presentation layout).
Expertise with SharePoint and on-line storage services is required.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator) preferred
Defense contractor experience preferred.
Ability to obtain DoD security clearance preferred.
Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range: $53,500 USD – $80,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
