JOB SUMMARY:
Do the tasks of loading and unloading of wagons, shipment and recording inventory transactions. Responsible for the movements of materials following written procedures, good documentation practices and safety rules. Is responsible for, coordinating fleet vehicle services, purchasing and messaging service tasks including handling of confidential documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain an appropriate flow of pick lists maximizing efficiency.
2. Handling of forklifts and equipment to transport materials.
3. Fill and unload wagons.
4. Receipt and dispatch of materials according to procedures that apply.
5. Archive documents.
6. Handle all shipments received including those received from sub-contractors. Check the quantity received, shipment conditions received and prepare receipts.
7. Assist in the dispatch of raw material manufacturing operations outside the plant.
8. Shipments of finished products outside of Douglas according to approved procedures.
9. Assist and / or coordinate wagon movements.
10. Record and maintain any inventory transaction in the computerized inventory control system.
11. Follow and comply with safety rules especially when operating a forklift.
12. Each employee will perform dual functions of customer and supplier in the execution of their functions. As a customer, you must ensure that the materials and products on which you are going to work are of acceptable quality, per the established guidelines. As a supplier, you must ensure that the manufactured product meets the specifications before moving the product to the next production stage.
13. Update the ERP System, if apply.
14. Perform chemical counts and make requisitions.
15. Make written requisitions and / or electronic system as required.
16. Coordinate service, maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles including forklifts and pallet moving equipment.
17. This role may require messaging and handling of confidential documents.
18. Good use and handling of required documentation related to the company’s credit card.
19. Other tasks assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from High School
One (1) year of previous experience in warehouse work or six (6) months of minimum training to reach optimal levels of quantity and quality under normal supervision. Experience in computerized inventory system and use of calculator. Ability in electronic handling for materials, math skills and clear writing.
