Job Description : Your field of responsibility
EMEA Securities Settlements are responsible for the timely settlement and reconciliation of securities trades and related monies for CS entities based in the EMEA. The team is based across Mumbai, Poland and London. The role is to validate CSDR penalties and challenge the appeals for EMEA Securities Settlements along with validation, payment processing, MI reporting and identifying items to be worked in cognizance of fixing issues from root to avoid future fines.
Key deliverables will include
Effectively manage the operational risk profile in accordance with the acceptable risk appetite
Ensure that the day-to-day operational business operates in line with agreed SLAs
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Ensures internal and external expectations are met with respect to the role of the function
Actively engage with teams, partners and desks across regions
Collaborate effectively with business partners and other corporate functions

Group Operations carries out high-quality and efficient banking services to clients across the Business divisions ensuring an excellent execution of millions of transactions daily. We operate globally in four regions – ‘Switzerland’, ‘APAC’, ‘Americas’ and ‘UK Entities, Wroclaw & Dublin’. The dept has approx. 500 full time equivalents and is within the Global Group Operations. It is made up of Equities Operations (including Equities Sales Support and Stock Borrow Loans) and Securities Settlements.
The role has a reporting line into the Securities Settlements AVP and will include bedding down of new processes at the back of the CSDR regulation that recently went live in the industry.

Your skills and experience
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Minimum of 5-6 years experience in Securities products in Settlements, Middle office, Trade support etc and an understanding of the trade life cycle in detail
Attention to detail, pro-active, good communication skills, client & control-focused approach and a positive attitude.
Have effective problem solving and analytical skills
An ability to multitask, prioritize, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
You are ambitious and can work on own initiative and deliver on time whilst also being a good teammate
Ability to build strong working relationships across departments to provide a quality customer service daily
