Our services include comprehensive cardiovascular services, NICU, and a wide range of specialties as well as emergency services at our main emergency room (ER), two freestanding ERs and a Pediatric ER.OVERVIEW OF ROLE: Responsible for the Annual Infection Prevention and Control PlanConduct surveillance of infectious diseases. Examine the lab data associated with infectious diseases. And evaluate sources and trends.Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of infection prevention and control, ensuring that staff follow all regulations and requirements set by the hospital, CMS and TJCConduct collaborative rounds in designated areas as to inspect and identify performance and quality improvement opportunitiesDetermine areas of concern and establish contact with nursingPerform rounds in procedural areas and facilities to ensure high level disinfection practices are followed according to hospital and TJC policies.Conduct educational and training activities for staff to ensure continuous compliance of hospital policies and procedures through instruction and dissemination of information on healthcare practices including, but not limited to, infection prevention basics, isolation signage, NHSN criteria, hospital data, and policy changes asProvide information for healthcare providers on communicable diseases and prevention via monthly reports, emails, and presentationsRevise policies for high level disinfection, surveillance, and education on infection prevention for system wide implementationLiaison for Infection Prevention Committee with hospital committees and departmentsTOP DESIRED LOCATION: White sandy beaches give this area an endless list of water recreational fun.
