Summary:
We are looking for a strategic photographer to support the evolution of our Marketing and Sales channels. You will collaborate with internal and external partners in creating disruptive and innovative experiences ranging from internal to external marketing and branding campaigns. Your media work will reflect Vivint’s brand and enhance the consumer and employee experience.
As a photographer, you should be comfortable in providing appropriate shot lists and pitching creative ideas to leadership. We assume many responsibilities on the media team at Vivint, and we move fast, so you should be able to take a project from start to finish by yourself. You should be comfortable in setting expectations and timelines and being proficient enough in Lightroom and Photoshop to move quickly. Candidates for interviews will be selected based on overall portfolio quality and depth. We work on a variety of media projects, and you should expect some “not-so-exciting” projects from time to time and be able to have a good attitude in completing them. We shoot thousands of photos and the ability to process a high volume of images while maintaining high quality is a must-have. In this full-time position, the variety and range of projects and campaigns require experthigh level proficiency and experience in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Videography skills are a huge bonus.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute corporate headshots, event coverage, a wide range of internal promotional photos, commercial lifestyle photos, and commercial product photos from start to finish.
Retouch and color correct photos, and other relevant photography, according to brand guidelines.
Assist the Creative Department in retouching imagery for use across multiple platforms, including the Vivint website, social media channels, and digital marketing needs.
Perform quality assurance on all images, including ensuring color consistency across all images for a project.
Create media for promoting the lifestyle of our world-class sales force.
Follow brand & creative style guides
Work closely with a producer, helping in any capacity necessary to ensure the project gets executed.
Create shot lists that align with the ever-changing business needs.
Product and creative asset collection and storage
Work independently and alongside video production teams
Maintaining internal archival practices, including metadata, naming conventions (protocol), and keywords.
Able to work extended hours and travel as necessary. Travel ranges from driving to the city or flying internationally for a week.
Required Skills:
4+ years planning, shooting, and editing commercial photography projects
Work well under the pressure of tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
Must have a firm understanding of all aspects of digital photography, including production equipment, lighting techniques, cameras/lenses, knowledge of video preferred
Solid understanding of strobe, on-camera flash, and continuous lighting setups. As well as basics of lighting for small single or multi-person shoot setups as well as in-studio lighting.
Experience working with models, stylists, and art directors
Comfortable in directing talent and crew on large budget productions.
Must have excellent technical skills, knowledge of CaptureOne, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (bonus)
Understands best practices in non-destructive photo editing and photo export processes.
Ability to learn additional programs and skills as required.
Clear communication skills utilizing slack, Monday, text, and email with many teams across the company.
Organized, creative, and proactive.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Photography or related experience preferred.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
