Job Description : Ace Air CargoJOB TITLE: Accounts Receivable SpecialistSummary:This position is primarily responsible for billing, receiving payment and posting amount to customer’s account; preparing statements to Controller if customer fails to respond; keeping records of collection and status of accounts by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Core duties and responsibilities include the following.Billing customers based on the Airway Bills, posting in the accounting system, Dynamics GP.Answering customer inquiries, and resolving issues by various methods, whether rebilling or issuing credits or writing off the amounts.Receives payments and posts amounts paid to customer accounts.Locates and monitors overdue accounts, using computers and a variety of automated systems.Records information about financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.Locates and notifies customers of delinquent accounts by mail or telephone, to solicit payment.Sorts and files correspondence, and performs miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering correspondence and writing reports.Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.COMPETENCIES:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Customer Service – Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, and percentages.COMPUTER SKILLS:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type and talk or hear.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
