Job Description : Purpose: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the Bank, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, risk, and governance as well as negotiations, and information technology and systems of the Bank. As a key member of the executive management team of the Bank, the CFO interacts with senior stakeholders and other members of the Bank.
Job Description:
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/ and members of the executive management team
Monitor and direct the Treasury function of the bank including but not restricted to maintainance of CRR, SLR and other statutory reserves.
Monitor and direct and maximse the profit from Treasury Operations / Trading and maintainance
Ensure proper regulatory reporting
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
Advise on long-term business and financial planning
Develop financial and tax strategies
Develop effective performance measures that support the Bank’s strategic direction
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Providing leadership, direction and management to the HR, finance, and accounting teams
Manage the accounting, human resources, legal, tax, and treasury departments
Oversee the Bank’s transaction processing systems
Implement operational best practices
Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package
Supervise acquisition due diligence and negotiate acquisitions
Prepare and/or oversee the issuance of financial information, including monthly and quarterly management reporting as well as monthly board of director reporting packs
Coordinate the annual audit and ensure proper filing of all tax returns
Report and explain quarterly and annual financial results to the board of directors
Understand and mitigate key elements of the Bank’s risk profile
Monitor all open legal issues involving the Bank, and legal issues affecting the industry
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the Bank complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
