Job Description : JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Data EntryFLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob Type: Full-timeReports To: Department ManagerSUMMARY: Data Entry Job Description: Basic Data Entry and computer skills Data Entry, Files reports, documents, and other. Performs basic clerical functions such as typing, data input, filing, photocopying and assembling information. Ability to handle multiple demands simultaneously, a teamwork approach and Basic computer skills (i.e. experience with data entry), excellent communication skills.Responsibilities: Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners Type in data provided directly from ProductionCreate spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakesVerify data by comparing it to source documentsUpdate existing dataRetrieve data from the database or electronic files as requestedPerform regular backups to ensure data preservationSort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lostPunctual attendance· Take daily physical inventory countsApplicants should possess: -Strong organizational skills & work ethic – Ability to multi-task – High level communication skills, both verbal and written – Hardworking, reliable, energetic, and responsible – At least 1-year experience doing data entry, proficient in word and excellooking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. You will report to a data manager or another senior data team member. Understanding of data is compulsory. The company will rely on you for having accurate and updated data that are easily accessible through a digital database.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.Proven experience as data entry clerkFast typing skills: Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferredExcellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devicesBasic understanding of databasesGood command of English both oral and written and customer service skillsGreat attention to detailPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
