Position : Intake Program Specialist
Job Description : Utah Community Action is seeking to hire an Intake Center Program Specialist, Are you good at supervising, training, coaching and mentoring support staff? Do you have great computer and organizational skills? Then we need you. Apply with Utah Community Action.
This is a full time, year-round position -Exempt position with an annual salary of $45K a Year. We also offer generous benefits including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year’s (up to 7days), paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care. Position located in Rose Park.
The Intake Center Program Specialist assists the Program Manager in the daily operations and program planning for the agency intake center, assuring program compliance with Federal, State and Utah Community Action policies and procedures. Responsible for monitoring of program reports and supporting assigned areas to ensure professional delivery of services. Required to supervise, train, coach and mentor support staff, as well as offer direct client services. As a representative of the agency, the Intake Program Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and advocating for clients using a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required
MS Office proficiency
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Two years of supervision preferred
Previous call center and customer service experience preferred
Previous Utah Community Action experience preferred

Highly proficient with various internet and computer applications
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to clients from all socio-economic, ethnic and racial backgrounds with a Trauma-Informed approach
High level of confidentiality and accountability
Well-established organizational and time management skills
Proactive in becoming a subject matter expert on agency services and referrals
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Ability to use good judgment and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Open to feedback and willing to work towards the success of the team
Experienced in creating and facilitating trainings/presentations
Excellent use of English, both spoken and written
Supervise intake advocates as needed
