1.0 – POSITION
The Supply Chain Manager is a functional front-line leader of the Supply Chain department. They are a leader of people with an ownership mindset and the ability to solve complex problems. Specifically, this person leads a team and oversees the distribution of materials, BOM accuracy, issuance of purchase orders, sources materials, creates and distributes forecasts, provides input on product decisions, and engages in problem solving.
This is an exciting, faced paced, and detail-oriented position. In this role you’ll work with all internal departments and multiple external partners to ensure accurate and on time delivery of materials to jobsite.
2.0 – SKILLS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
Communication – You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with internal employees and external business partners. Follow up on conversations when work is completed or more information is required. Be able to clearly express problems and define solutions. Be responsive on email, phone calls, and messaging.
Problem Solving – Be able to clearly identify problems, determine the root cause(s), define, execute, and sustain solutions. Be curious in approach and thorough in solution.
Supplier Relationships – Must be able to establish and maintain supplier relationships and facilitate solutions through collaboration and persuasion.
High Achievement – Ability to drive results and achieve period goals.
Availability – Must be able to provide support to employees as needed.
Excel – Create and distribute weekly reports to manage team capacity, weekly performance, supplier forecasts, daily and weekly installation schedules, and other reports as needed.
Leadership – Use the 12 tools of continuous improvement to mentor and develop your team. Understand your team’s current productivity and accuracy metrics and set and achieve expectations.
3.0 – EXPECTATIONS
Develop Department Lead and Front Line Employees – Develop trust between your direct reports and colleagues by being in the details and understanding the processes. Review transactions on a regular basis, providing insights and training to front line employees.
Operating the Business – Keep up with demand and produce high quality work, meet cycle time expectations, strategize on department priorities and execution, set performance expectations, and help employees deliver on SMART Goals.
Continuously Improve – Master and implement the 12 tools of continuous improvement.
Subject Matter Expert – Become a student of the business and develop a clear understanding of the product and the process. This role provides guidance to cross functional team members on product related knowledge, helping to expedite the install process, reduce costs, maintain & improve quality, and improve the installer experience.
4.0 – COMPENSATION
Direct compensation depends on experience, approximate range of $50-$75 per year
