Job Summary

The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is seeking a dynamic individual to manage the Workforce Development Masters in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) program and collaborative events.
With direct supervision, this position advises a diverse population of students regarding their academic planning and progress by utilizing professional advising and guidance skills; and interprets and explains university academic policy and procedure to assist students in making decisions concerning personal educational goals leading to degree.
This position will assist the University in promoting a climate of respect and equity that cultivates and sustains transformative practices by forging spaces of possibility where people feel safe, valued, welcomed, and respects all students in their quest for individual success through degree programs, certificates, majors, etc.
Utah CTSI has produced leading investigators with several NIH grants awarded for their various “bench-to-bedside” areas of research and partners with other flagship institutions to contribute published works and clinical success.

Responsibilities
Oversees administrative matters regarding the day-to-day operations and procedures of the Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) program and other Workforce Development activities.
Serves as a resource for scholars and faculty regarding MSCI course offerings and requirements and regarding graduate school policies and deadlines.
Develops systems and maintains records to track program accomplishments and MSCI program graduates.
Supports faculty core directors with development and implementation of outreach and marketing for these programs.
Communicates with staff, faculty, and students regarding projects and activities of these programs.
Supports faculty core directors in formulating program improvement action items based on evaluation questionnaires and other feedback; tracks progress toward and completion of action items.
Prepares or assists in preparing annual progress reports and other Workforce Development reports.
Supports faculty curriculum improvement efforts.
Stays abreast of NIH and University policies and priorities impacting Workforce Development and makes recommendations for improvement and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (1 year of education is equivalent to 2 years’ experience)

Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills

The preferred candidate will have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Curriculum development and pedagogy, including online course management software
