Position : Inventory Clerk
Job Description : Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.· Establishes and maintains the Inventory Plan for all raw materials to include minimum and maximum inventory levels and usage projections. Works with Sales and Marketing group to obtain product forecasting information as needed.· Plans replenishment of raw materials according to Inventory Plan to include KBF raw materials, bulk liquids, TiO2, pigments and PE film.· Creates Purchase requisitions or Purchase Orders for raw materials.· Communicates Purchase Order schedule revisions to vendors as material requirements change. Makes changes to purchase orders after changes have been confirmed with vendor.· Works with Purchasing, Transportation and Receiving groups to monitor on-time delivery and prompt processing of raw material receipts.· Communicates with the Order Center and Operations on potential raw material shortages.· Maintains statistics on raw material shortages and identifies causes in order to implement process improvement.· Recognizes the need for and initiates and follows through on the transfer of raw materials between production facilities to reduce combined on-hand inventory.· Coordinates periodic Physical Inventory and cycle counts of raw materials.· Supports Inventory Control Administrator with investigating and solving issues impacting inventory accuracy.· Works with Operations group to optimize raw material usage.· Identifies obsolete raw materials and establishes plan for disposition of materials.· Provides inventory related reports to Management Team or other groups as needed.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
