Position : Student – Center for Social Impact – Research Assistant
Job Description : Utah Valley University is seeking students who will work on projects run by the Social Impact Lab (SIMLab), which is part of UVU’s Center for Social Impact. Tasks include writing reports, conducting interviews, training, data collection and management, transcriptions, videotaping, administration of surveys, and statistical and economic analyses.
Required Qualifications
Must be a current UVU student
Must have taken Statistics or Business classes with focus on R.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge: strong in R, Intermediate statistics, and economics
Skills: Spreadsheet proficiency, intermediate computer skills, annotated bibliography.
Abilities: Work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of statistics package R.
Knowledge of research methods.
Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate verbally and in written format.
