Job Description : Community Clinic of Maui, Inc. dba Malama I Ke Ola Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and a fully integrated behavioral health, dental, and primary care system. Our 100+ professionals and providers serve the people of Maui at three clinics—two locations in Wailuku and one in Lahaina. We have behavioral health providers who partner with the primary care clinicians to assist in a vast number of activities including warm handoffs for acute behavioral health crisis management, substance abuse counseling, tobacco cessation counseling, chronic disease self management counseling, and long-term individual and family therapy. We have been serving the Maui community since 1993. Since 2015, we have served over 11,000 patients of which 97% are living at or below 200% of the Federal poverty level. Join our growing team of caring, competent, and committed professionals in serving the underserved communities on Maui.Join our clinical team as a COVID Screener for our Ooka health center located at 1881 Nani Street in Wailuku. We are recruiting for one full time, temporary Screeners to cover all hours of operation at our Ooka health center, Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings. Selected candidates are eligible for statutory benefits, including health insurance. Immediate opening through December 31, 2022.Essential Duties:Greet staff, patients, and visitors outside the health center main entrance.Administer COVID-19 screening questionnaire to patients and visitors.Take temperature of all patients and visitors using non-contact infrared thermometer.Ensure that all employees, patients, and visitors are utilizing face masks appropriately worn to cover from above nose to below the chin with no gaps on the sides.Ensure all employees, patients, and visitors use hand sanitizer prior to entering the lobby.Follow established protocol for any patient or visitor who does not clear the health screening and politely ask the patient or visitor to wait in their vehicle or at least 15 feet from the entrance until trained health center employee can assist them.Issue cleared stickers to all patients and visitors who clear the health screening.Coordinate with clinical staff, RN Team Managers, Medical Assistants, and Clinical Operations Director for decisions about disposition of patients with symptoms.Takes and routes messages to appropriate personsFollow up on patient requests and messagesMaintains strict confidentiality of patient information and all clinic files.Maintains effective working relationships with clinic personnel and the public.Adheres to the policies and procedures of the Community Clinic of Maui, Inc.Update patient information as required.Assist Clinical and Administrative Staff as appropriate.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function assigned satisfactorily.
