Job Description : Job Summary: The Payment Analyst is responsible for the monetary intake for Ventra Health clients. Weekly assignments are provided by the supervisor and the Payment Analyst must develop a plan to complete work lists by end of week. Payment Analyst must comply with applicable laws regarding billing standards and be able to operate in a team-oriented environment that strives to provide superior service to Ventra Health clients throughout the country.Essential Functions and Tasks: Sort documentation from client by date of depositReconcile daily deposits in accordance with deposit ledger/bank reconciliation sheetFlags accounts needing additional information or further appealReview underpayments and overpaymentsMonthly confirmation that all deposits are reconciledClose payment batches timely according to team goalsScanning in accordance to type of payment receivedRoutinely conducts OCR verification of payment dataRoutinely runs insurance plan selection programIdentifies need to add plans to master table and reruns selection to programRefers payments and adjustments exceptions to Revenue Cycle ManagerPrints deposit slips and deposit statementsPrints proofing report and checks for accuracyVerify Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and Credit CardsRetrieve correspondence and sort by clientDialogue with Practice’s AccountantSet secondary billing to close outNotates patient accounts properlySet up accounts that require appeal follow upReapply reversed funds into proper accountsClient Contract liaison for Billing teamsAnswers telephone according to company requirementsNotes patient accounts properlyUpdate patient address from statement carrierProcessing remote depositsOrganizing Electronic Remittance Advice UploadsEducation and Experience Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.One year in data entry field.One year in medical billing, anesthesia preferred.Intermediate level knowledge of medical billing rules, such as coordination of benefits, modifiers, Medicare, and Medicaid and understanding of EOBs.Basic written and verbal communication skills.Ability to make decisions in a timely fashion that are sound, accurate and supported by the reasoning and inclusion of appropriate people.Must be able to interact well with all kinds of people.Must be able to prioritize and accomplish objectives in a timely fashion.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
