Job Description : Warehouse Lead – Weekend ShiftResponsibilities and Focus1. Is the direct report of the Outbound Supervisor.2. Second point of contact for anything related to outbound material movements from the production group.3. Responsible for outbound material movements, placement, and transactions within assigned shift.a. Must understand, enforce, and cultivate Lean, 6 Sigma, and 5S concepts/ standards.4. Responsible for the proper packaging, labeling, and end packaged quality of material leaving the production lines to be stored or shipped elsewhere.a. Must be proficient on all outbound reports, build processing reports, and inventory reports.b. Find and report all outbound related issues in to the Outbound Supervisor.c. Work directly with the Outbound Supervisor to smooth movements of material and improvements of process.d. Must follow and enforce Material in Motion’s standards and stay abreast on industry standards/ innovations.5. Must understand Decom processes, Build processes, Material Handling processes as it pertains to outbound material movement.6. Assure the proper outbound movement, transacting, and handling of the material/pallets in the entire facility.7. Responsible for outbound area’s “Ready” state.a. Stations have everything needed to begin work for each area.8. Keep a non-stop flow of outbound material to our 3PL’s and transportation groups.a. Help to push unneeded parts out through shipping.· Will work directly with Build Planner, Material Handling Supervisor, and Inventory Supervisor on inventory flushing to keep product levels at a minimum during working hours.9. Responsible for pallet organization and coding within the outbound area.a. Cone Coding and Labeling for each skid by part number and build ID, if needed.10. Responsible for the correct placement of the materials/ pallets, in the designated areas, across the outbound area.11. Knowledge of proper process for prepping material.a. From the pallet, to the box, until the single unit.12. Knowledge of the proper re-packaging procedures.13. Full knowledge of the local apps.14. Responsible for improving and maintaining a greater knowledge of his/ her duties and workplace functions.a. Must attend to all meetings and trainings given by Material in Motion, as required by his superior.15. Supervises and coordinates activities of the workers engaged in outbound material handling in the outbound area.a. Train and give direction to direct reports assigned by Supply Chain manager/ Site manager, to accomplish listed tasks.b. Works to understand and address the Outbound team’s needs and problems.c. Develops a constructive and cooperative working environment.d. Coordinates these efforts with the Supply Chain Manager, in an appropriate and timely manner.e. Inspire and grow the material handling teams knowledge and abilities as it pertains to the work place environment.16. Report and gauge work load and problems.a. Knows and tracks the parts’ shipping rates in the facility.b. Creates, maintains, and accomplishes goals for the successful completion of given tasksc. Appropriately gauge and communicate man power needs to accomplish given task and goals.d. Trouble shoots systemic and physical challenges that impede the proper flow of outbound material according to the lines’ needs and manager’s requests.17. Maintain a safe hazard free working environment.18. Suggest and implement time-saving ideas/ procedures in a timely manner.19.
