Position : Contract Administrator
Job Description : BAE Systems is looking for a contracts administrator for its location at Hill Air Force Base in Utah to perform the coordination, negotiation and management of moderately complex proposals and contracts under minimal supervision. Candidate will also help administer a large existing contract with more than 800 personnel under an expected 18 year extension. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of business agreements, government and commercial contracting methods, including policies, procedures and regulations in order to provide appropriate leadership and support during proposal, fact-find, negotiation, and day to day contracting activities. The individual is expected to independently demonstrate leadership in contracting strategy and methods, and be proficient in research and presentation skills. Develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with both internal and external customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and demonstrate a working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, the BAE Systems Contracts function and relevant Company policies and procedures, commercial contracting methods, export, FAR/DFAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation) and other government regulations
Independently lead and support proposal activities including, but not limited to analysis of solicitations, preparing summaries and developing strategies and recommendations based on the analysis, preparing the terms, conditions and assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted, reviewing the technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency, and preparing the proposal documents for submittal to the Customer.
Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with customers in defining contracts under general guidance from the Contracts Manager
Analyze and prepare various agreements encountered in the business, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s), Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement, Strategic Alliances, and others as the opportunity presents
Act as primary point of contact between the Company and the Customer for all contractual matters on assigned contracts and projects
Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements and Company policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION
No Supervisory Responsibilities. Provides guidance and advice for lower level Contract Administrators
Works under general supervision of a Contracts Manager
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Works with Program personnel and other Company functions as required. Develops and maintains professional and dependable relationships with internal customers
Outside contact with Customers. Develops and maintains professional and dependable relationships with external customers
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
May be delegated to execute certain proposals and contracts as directed by Contracts Department Management. Will be responsible to prepare proposals, contracts, and other business documents for execution and contribute to the analysis of financial and business risk of proposals and contracts.

Please note, pursuant to government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
7-12+ years related experience or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience.
