Introduction:
To provide an exceptional level of support to our global trading businesses across different asset classes ranging from Equity, Funds, Commodity, Rates & Credit.
What will you be doing?
Daily responsibilities including (but not limited to)
Works closely with trading and structuring on new QIS strategies to capture new Exotic trades from initial stages to risk system in timely manner using in house systems & Python/other proprietary script languages
Work closely with trading on daily book running for QIS/Funds business
Work closely with our Infrastructure team to support roll out of strategic solutions for booking, reporting and risk management.
Provide pricing support to Trading on linear/non-linear products, make sure PV of trades are correct
Provide data maintenance once the trades/strategies have been executed which would involve time series/missing price reconciliation, investigating large Pnl swings
Transaction execution & life cycle management in partnership with teams like middle office, settlements, documentation, client valuation & other downstream teams to make sure there is effective collaboration with front office
Conduct periodic assessment of the control environment by analysing existing controls and issue around timeliness accuracy and completeness of risk information. Identify missing or weak controls, and work with risk reporting teams and IT to improve the control environment
Become the main point of contact for queries from infrastructure partners such as Middle Office, Product Control and other downstream teams
Supporting the Index structured business by helping the trading desk explore new business opportunities and help internal clients succeed
What we’re looking for:
In depth Derivatives product knowledge relating to different aspects of pricing, risk management and capture of Structured and Flow Derivatives
Enthusiastic with the ability to learn quickly from other members of the trading team
Knowledge of the complete front to back lifecycle of a product
Ability to understand complex problems quickly and move projects forward
Strong quantitative skills and should know at least 1 programming language (Preferably Python)
Strong understanding of control framework
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Masters’ Degree in Finance or Economics
Experience and understanding of the complete front to back lifecycle of a product
4 to 8 years of prior experience in a financial institution or firm
Proven experience and ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships with other key areas within the bank e.g. Technology, broader global Middle office and other front office stakeholders such as Sales and Structuring
Intermediate programming skills (Python preferable)

The candidate will have to be proactive in identifying issues and getting them resolved by aliasing with various stakeholders
The candidate needs to work on several time sensitive activities and hence is required to be meticulous and efficient
Attention to detail with strong analytical and quantitative ability
