FRDC
The Finance, Risk, Data and Controls Technology (FRDC) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
FRDC teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

FRDC>RCC: The Risk, Compliance and Controls (RCC) Technology team delivers a wide range of technology solutions to support the firm’s Risk Management functions (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Country Risk, Operational Risk, Reputational Risk), Compliance functions (Trade Surveillance, Financial Crimes, Electronic Communication, Employee Compliance), and Control functions (first and second line of defense controls).

We are looking to hire a self-motivated & passionate individual. As a VP Scrum Master/Agility Lead, you’ll act as a servant leader for your team(s) by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. Our Scrum Masters are open, approachable, collaborative, and enjoy working with passionate people. They’re proactive in solving problems to help their team(s) succeed. The Scrum Master drives Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. They embrace agility as a practice. The Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and has a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes. The role is responsible to help drive the program outcomes that requires cross-teams collaboration.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Structuring the program and ensuring proper resourcing. A program may entail coordination and scheduling of a subset of epics that make up the initiative.
Status reporting on initiatives
Identification and management of cross-product dependencies across multiple initiatives and release schedules
Monitoring/ tracking of major milestones and management of escalated issues/risks regardless of whether at the initiative level, or the product level.
Establishing Program governance and interfacing with Steering Committee
Stakeholder Management: The right people are involved at the right time and level
Strong communication and interpersonal effectiveness are critical to success
Big picture, strategic thinking
Deep product knowledge and ability to build relationships with senior leaders
Strong agile knowledge industry toolsets (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, etc) as well as JPMC specific agile forums and ceremonies (e.g. QBR, EMR, OKRs, etc)
Works with the Product owner and Engineering leads to align team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
Creates an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
Collaborates with Engineering leads on continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coaches teams to conduct continuous improvement events
Seeks opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization
Communicates organizational impediments to leadership; clears impediments for the team
Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the team(s) you mentor as a coach
Helps with facilitating workshops designed to help organization through transformation
Works with other peers to upskill other scrum masters with agile mindset and techniques
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree with 14+ years of equivalent experience
Strong familiarity and adherence to core Agile values and principles
Experience as a practicing Scrum Master on multiple teams and managing at program level
Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration
A mindset of servant leadership

Expert with Agile and Scrum framework and its application in Product Development and delivery organization

Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s)
