Job Description : Please apply on our website: https://jobs.shu.edu/cw/en-us/job/495055/digital-communications-specialistReporting to the Associate Director of Web and Digital Communications, the Digital Communication Specialist works as a part of the Digital Communications and Marketing team to develop and distribute integrated marketing and institutional content across Seton Hall channels, focusing on online and digital platforms. This role supports the coordination, creation, and implementation of interactive multi-media and marketing experiences for all university audiences while stewarding University resources to organize and manage University relations.The Digital Communication Specialist Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining Seton Hall’s mission-critical content management systems, client relationship management platforms, and all enterprise-level digital management tools. Creates, writes, and copyedits content for these systems as needed. Assists in developing and executing strategies for digital communications from Seton Hall following University’s Information Technology policies, University Relations guidelines, and the University’s mission. Develops and implements policies and sustainable procedures to ensure effective, efficient workflow and optimal outcomes.Provides data-driven strategies for digital advertising, campus communications, and data analysis to support mission-critical initiatives and campaigns. The Digital Communication Specialist will work on projects supporting the University’s brand, integrated marketing, and high-level communications targeting prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and the media.Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Design and construct web pages and sites incorporating graphic user interface features and other techniques aligned with the University’s brand. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining Seton Hall’s mission-critical content management systems, client relationship management platforms, and enterprise-level digital management tools. Help formulate and implement usability testing for new website projects and improve existing websites.2. Work independently and with the marketing and communication team colleagues to edit content, including news stories, press releases, social media posts, and photo captions that amplify brand messaging. Edit and proof web copy, photos, and digital collateral as needed for online communications.3. Build and disseminate e-mail communications, e-newsletters, and drip campaigns in Seton Hall’s client relationship and management and e-mail platforms. Design, develop and optimize e-mail templates. Report on audience engagement and recommend best practices for improvement.4. Serves as a liaison as needed for specific University units, assisting campus partners with decision making and resource allocation related to communications and marketing. Ensure partners are kept informed and updated on any campaign/communications. Works closely with department and University resources to create promotional and marketing content and related multimedia collateral. Acts as an independent authority for select services and spokesperson of the department/division to other University units.5. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of digital efforts using various analytical tools and platforms. Use analytics to inform tactics to increase key site traffic and contribute to reports on the performance of digital channels.Required Qualifications: BA Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related area. 1- 3 years experience. Demonstrated skills in project management. Experience with integrated digital marketing strategy, tools and campaigns.
