Position : Medical Device Engineering Technician
Job Description : Our biotechnology company is growing and looking for an intelligent and hard working engineer. Our culture is focused on learning, teamwork, and helping others.Idaho Molecular, a wholly owned subsidiary of Co-Diagnostics Inc. is a medical device startup in South Salt Lake City looking for a medical device engineering technician.The engineering technician will work closely with the engineering staff to develop, install and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing of medical devices. The technician will build and maintain equipment mechanical and electrical assemblies. Attention to detail and problem solving abilities are key characteristics of success. The technician will work within the company quality system, helping engineers with validation protocol writing/execution/reporting, implementing process improvement ideas, performing test runs, documenting test run results, training operators on production processes and other activities associated with the manufacturing of medical devices.Roles and Responsibilities Include: Work with engineers to design and fabricate tooling and fixturesInstall equipmentPerform planned preventative maintenanceTrain operators on production processesAssist with development and implementation of Quality Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and other manufacturing-related documentationPlace orders for tooling, equipment, and fixturing needed to maintain productionRun studies per the protocol and gather test results for reporting purposesRequirements: An Associate’s degree or two (2) year degree in a technical field or three (3) years maintenance or engineering technician experience, preferably in medical device manufacturing and assemblyFamiliarity with requirements of cGMP, FDA, or ISO regulated environment preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMeticulous record-keeping capabilityExcellent prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities with little to no supervisionProficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 – $36.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Work Location: One location
