For our sites construction located in France and UK, we are looking for a Superintendent, with experience in Stay Cable, Prestressing and preferably heavy lifting.
Reporting to a Site Project Manager, you are responsible for supervising the construction of the project and to ensure that all works are coordinated to deliver with efficiency on safety, quality and environmental objectives.
Managing the Client relationship
Communicate to the teams the project expectations in terms of Client care (milestones, behaviour…)
Represent Freyssinet on site
Manage a smooth relationship between Freyssinet, the Client and the local partners
Managing the Operations
Implement the work procedures, method statements and inspection/test plans provided by the Project
Manage the production teams under his/her direct supervision and organise the works per project directions and objectives
Review, sign out and seek approval from the Production Manager (if necessary) and from Quality control counterpart of the production record sheets per the inspection and test plans
Complete Material Request Forms accordingly and ensure good storage of material in collaboration with the Contractor
Responsible for establishing and following list of required equipment to carry out the works and manage receipt and removal of equipment on site
Prepare and validate all time sheets of the workforce under his/her direct supervision and transmit them to his/her hierarchy for progressing/invoicing
Support the Site Manager in the preparation of work progress reporting FREYSSINET International & Co / MAJOR PROJECTS Department
Responsible of the handover of his/her specific area of works (before and after performance of the works)
Implement and enforce our QHSE rules
Enforce QHSE management plans on site.Learn your job-specific QSE responsibilities within the DGP QSE Procedures for Projects, and act on them
Support the Site Manager in achieving the requirements of the internal QHSE procedures for the execution of the works
Perform or at least review the job hazard assessments and ensure proper transmission to the site teams
Participate in audit and inspection processes and provide support for delivering solutions to corrective actions.
Report any unsafe conditions witnessed on site and propose preventive actions to be implementedProvide feedback to the Project for potential improvement of the record sheets and/or work procedures
Report any environmental incident on site and propose preventive actions to be implemented
You will manage a team of local workers in a multicultural environment.
2 year-technical degree after High School diploma or previous confirmed experience as Supervisor, on medium to largesize projects.
Learn what QSE Management System processes and procedures apply to the activities on your project, taking account of changes.
Capacity to deliver on time works of the supervised area.
Capacity to promote the common culture, capacity to work with Client and peers.
Capacity to develop a team spirit and shared targets, capacity to motivate its team, necessity to give regular feedback on safety, production and quality.
