Job Description : Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Tour Outfitter is seeking qualified guides for Multi Day trips Primary Base in Vernal Utah or Moab Utah. The ideal candidate is an adaptable team player with a positive attitude. Primary duty is guiding however a willingness to complete other tasks as needed.Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours have been the Southwest’s adventure and whitewater experts for over 25 years. Started by Molly & Alex Mickel, Mild to Wild has grown from a small booth in downtown Durango, to running trips all over Arizona, Utah, & Colorado. With the addition of Adventure Bound USA in 2018, Mild to Wild Rafting & Jeep Tours expanded to open an office in Moab, UT and Vernal Utah running multi-day trips on legendary river sections such as Gates of Lodore, Yampa, Desolation Canyon, & Cataract Canyon. Mild to Wild is thrilled to carry on the nearly 70 year legacy of Adventure Bound River Expeditions. Our mission is to enrich our guests’ lives with an escape in the outdoors creating a deeper connection with nature, family, and new friends.Responsibilities and Duties: Guiding at least 5 overnight trips throughout the seasonDriving and Greeting Customers at hotelOperational Compliance/NPS RelationsGear Inventory and MaintenanceTrip Leading ( if qualified )Post Trip ReportingGuide communication about conditions and park policyEquipment CareScheduling communication with multi-day managerEmergency management protocolsLogistics coordination for trips: Scheduling drivers, vehicles and food packEnsure trips are run to meet or exceed both NPS regulations and Mild to Wild standards as outlined in our overnight manualQualifications: Well-organizedThe desire to improve and grow with the organization.Strong interpersonal skills, team player, with an ability to resolve complex issues with a positive attitude.Ability to work with great attention to detailBeing a strong role model on and off the riverWilling to abide by the policies and procedures of Mild to Wild.Commitment, Compensation & BenefitsBenefits & Pay are dependent on experience & qualificationsCertifications such as Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Swift Water rescueSimple IRA Retirement program (Requirements must be with the company for at least 2 seasons)Housing Seasonal or Year Round.Seasonal Salary 4/15-10/15. Hourly outside this season some off season work on manuals ectWillingness to attend off- season learning opportunities.
