Job Description : Job Title: Phlebotomist (Home Sample Collection)
Reports to: Operations Manager/ Route Manager
Job summary:
Working under the direct supervision of the Route Executive/Manager/ Operations Manager and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post-holder will be responsible for performing venipuncture to obtain blood samples from patients/ clients at their homes.
Duties and responsibilities:
Greet patients and verify their identity.
Follow safety guidelines while entering the client’s premise.
Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a required (specimen).
Collection of sample(s)s of blood in accordance with training and procedures
Accurate, legible labelling of all samples according to confirm patient identity.
Maintain all equipment in a clean and safe manner.
Record ECG with a portable machine along with other vital readings.
Filling MER Forms for respective Insurance companies.
Ensuring samples are stored in appropriate containers & temperatures.
Explain tests to patients and answer any questions they might have.
Complete all work at client homes in accordance with guidelines & requirements.
Transport samples in a timely manner and in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
Notifying the manager of any significant patient/ops issues.
Liaising with and assisting people of other departments.
Upsell if required.
Eligibility Criteria:
DMLT/ BMLT/ GNM with minimum 2 years of experience in Home Collection.
Valid Driving Licence & 2 wheeler.
