For more information, visit superstarcarwashaz.com.Position OverviewThe Director of Store Operations will report to the Vice President of Operations to provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities across all stores and locations within the Super Star Car Wash network. The Director of Store Operations has a demonstrated car wash experience, with deep understanding of car wash operational fundamentals.Your focus is cultivating strong relationships with the District Managers and all team members, with the objective of developing operational processes and procedures to enhance field operations and customer satisfaction. You are a self-motivated individual who exhibits integrity and emotional intelligence, creating synergy with all corporate and operations teams. This individual will serve as the Voice of the Field and the gatekeeper of information and communication to our managers and associates.You will lead cross-functional teams with collaboration involving Human Resources, IT, Marketing, and Learning and Development with all operational aspects of our car washes. You will use critical thinking and analytical skills to assess, create solutions, innovate, and adapt to changing business needs.Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities: (These responsibilities must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation)Car wash experience in continued development of SOP’s, engaging all levels of the organization to implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures to improve operations processes and success.Hands-on knowledge of equipment and maintenance, with the ability to train and demonstrate skills and knowledge to all operations positions.Resolves all customer claims with Operations District Managers.Implement, maintain, and continually improve and implement departmental changes, collaboratively with the guidance of the Vice President of Operations.Participate in weekly manager meetings to bring forward process improvements and initiatives.Maintain, monitor, and review store documentation in alignment with corporate policies, management practices, including documents such as Redbook, Keep App, interoffice inspections OSHA records, and inventory to elevate higher operational standards and consistency.Responsible for making sure our evolving training needs are met to keep our level of effort high and our progress moving forward through facilitating conversations around process discovery and process improvement with medium- to large-sized groups, including staff, supervisors, and managers.Act as coach and mentor to staff, which includes ongoing evaluation, process improvement, and the establishment of work teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field; or equivalent experience with a minimum of five (5) years of management and operations experience in a production environment – car wash experience a plus.Proven management responsibility and leadership experience with “service-centric” organizations that effectively meet after-market customer needs associated with asset management, preventative maintenance, reliability services, and commissioning / distribution fulfillment.Direct results in the creation and implementation of Microsoft Office/Excel programs and SOP’s that better prepare operations teams for high retention of company standards.Demonstrated expertise within the following areas: company policies, procedures, and products; quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures; generally accepted managerial practices and procedures; business principles, customer needs and expectations.Proven results at setting/driving performance and operational metrics and achieving process adherence.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and lead multi-disciplinary teams while earning buy-in from team members.Excellent communication, relationship building, initiative, influence, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver strong results.Ability to effectively coach team members, to inspire them to perform at their best, and to manage performance when it’s not meeting expectations.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: We look for people who demonstrate a growth mindset, who are accountable and collaborative, and who deliver results by respecting and valuing all people, while taking the time to also celebrate and recognize success.A strong bias for action, a keen sense of urgency and the ability to drive results in a matrixed organizational environment.Demonstrated experience in making strategic HR decisions, assessing leadership talent, and effectively interfacing with high-level business and operations leaders.Self-motivation and strong interpersonal/communication/influential skills with an emphasis on relationship / team / partnership building.Decisive and assertive with the ability to be provide flexible, creative solutions in a complex environment.Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs.Proven experience building and transforming an organization and culture; Strong advocate and leader of change.Outstanding communication, coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and act on business priorities, especially when driving change.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to quickly assess situations and make judgments based on practice or previous experience.Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive / diverse workforce.Requires the ability to interact with others, interpret spoken messages and utilize reason to resolve complex problems.
