Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Production Manager (S01). This position will be located in Ogden, UT and will support the Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) program.
What you will get to do:
Supervises employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, packaging or completed units.
Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).
Additional Production Manager responsibilities include:
cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.
monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groups.
Assignments are received in task-oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizations unit.

These positions will have a standard work schedule of 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
AA Degree or 4 additional years of experience and/or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience
2 years of Manufacturing experience
1 year experience leading projects or cross-functional teams
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance
Lean Manufacturing environment experience highly preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge in specialized functions.
A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Salary Range: $85,400 USD – $128,000 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
