Job Description : We have a thriving podiatry practice that has become quite high growth in the last year. We are looking for a rockstar Medical Scribe who wants the opportunity to work with a wonderful, talented doctor, in a supportive environment that is also fast paced with plenty of growth opportunity.One of the most important qualities we are looking for in our Medical Scribe is someone who is reliable, dependable, and on the ball. We need someone who is organized, proactive, and a fabulous collaborator and team player. We are looking for someone who is going to commit to this position long term, and has the capacity to grow with a fast-growing medical practice.As a Medical Scribe you will be responsible for recording the details of a patient’s exam—clinical history, current complaints, diagnoses, procedures performed (either by the physician or other healthcare professionals) and medical orders given (including prescriptions and tests).You will also be cross-trained on the other Medical Assistant roles. Those responsibilities and skills include:ResponsibilitiesInterview patients and document basic medical historyOrganize and schedule appointmentsUpdate and file medical records and insurance reportsArrange hospital admissions and laboratory servicesCheck with patients and type up patients chartsAssist during medical examinationsProduce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and formsHandle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial recordsPrepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instrumentsSkillsProven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretaryKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workSocial perceptiveness and service orientedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsProficiency in MS Office and patient management softwareDegree in medical assistanceJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:BLS Certification (Preferred)Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)Work Location: One location
