Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented person who enjoys improving processes and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The payroll specialist will be responsible for processing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly, full time and part time employees ensuring the accuracy of data entry along with coordinating timely payroll transmission. The Payroll Specialist will perform duties that require an understanding of company payroll policies, compliances and procedures with a strong level of customer service. We are looking for a positive person who is ready to learn and grow their talents within finance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process Payrolls using Workday®
Make corrections and adjustments as needed
Calculate and process off-cycle manual checks
Monitor payroll system time entries
Manages and processes payroll transactions for all employee types
Documents and enters employee garnishments
Monitors and responds to payroll email box
Ensure compliance with applicable payroll policies and laws
Audit payrolls and documents SOX procedure
Process stop payment, reversal and update online banking
Assist with special projects as needed
Required Skills:
Strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work reliably and efficiently under deadlines
Ability to work well on a team and with other departments
Workday Experience a plus
Required Education/Experience:
Proficient in MS Office
Two years in an office environment
Prior payroll experience not necessary but encouraged

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
