Position : Permaculture Garden Manager/Outreach Coordinator
Job Description : The Arbor Institute is a non-profit organization which combines Ecology, the Arts, and Contemplative Practices.
In 2020 we started a 3/4 acre Permaculture Garden, Middle Way Garden, to bring our work to the land, create a community of volunteers, hold workshops in and around the garden, and provide food to underserved local communities.
We are looking for an experienced permaculture gardener/farmer with great farming and people skills as well social media experience. Our farm manager would work with us to continue to develop the garden infrastructure and plantings, recruit and supervise community volunteers, and develop participatory programs for the garden. We would like to eventually develop programs for kids, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
The job will be full time from April through October, possibly longer.
