Job Description : You are technically competent and highly experienced subject matter expert with proven track record on Metro and Long-Haul Optical Transmission Network Planning
You are well versed in working closely with OEMs like Ciena, Nokia and Infinera for DWDM, WSS/ROADM and OTN solutions, deep dive into technical design, and analyze/optimize BoQ
You have extensive hands-on experience of successfully managing technical, commercial, and contractual negotiation OEMs for procuring optical transmission equipment
You have deep understanding on the quality of Metro and Long Haul UG and OPGW fiber available and factor it in network planning
You are well acquainted with NOC, NMS and associated tools for network performance analytics to orchestrate network operations, and progressively introduce software defined controls and automation
You are conversant with O&M framework and effective coordination between NOC and O&M teams for planned works and fault resolution
You are proficient in developing well-articulated technical documentation with domain specific terminology in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
You closely track new technology and product development by OEMs in packet optical transmission
You have strong communication skills with assertive approach to lead conversations, put forth logical arguments, and create consensus to move forward with internal & external stakeholders
You will lead Optical Transmission Network Planning and Engineering, for pan India network footprint with ownership and accountability
You will plan for Dark Fiber Management System (DFMS) with credible OEMs and plan for integration with DWDM/OTN NMS platform with REST API
You will ideate, articulate and steer Network Planning in streamlined and structured manner and lead execution on the ground with focus on timeline
You will develop well-articulated RFP document with required level of details and design specifications, engage OEMs to respond and evaluate RFP response
You will lead engagement with OEMs like Viavi and Exfo for optical fiber performance management system and develop it as differentiating attribute
You will integrate Metro, Long Haul and Subsea Connectivity under the ambit of integrated end-to-end Network Planning
You will leverage your experience to provide deep insight and industry best practice with respect to network planning, for differentiated value proposition
You will hire competent & confident team members when growth in workload justifies team building
Qualifications
