Job Description : KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ravn Alaska Corporate Recruiter is responsible for collaborating with members of the Human Resources department, hiring managers, and upper-level management throughout the organization to support hiring efforts across the Company. The successful candidate must have professional experience in a recruiting and sales environment, have an understanding of HR principles, and must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with varying workloads. Other responsibilities aligned with Ravn Alaska Core Values include but are not limited to:
Upholding safety by reporting safety hazards in the work environment or when confronted with an unsafe situation.
Promoting a positive Safety Culture with co-workers, follows accident prevention procedures, and supports the organization in compliance with Safety Management System (SMS).
Promoting commitment by engaging in courteous and respectful interactions with customers, supervisors, co-workers, and business associates.
Responsible for full-cycle recruiting on a wide spectrum of positions for the Company, with a special focus on critical or hard-to-fill opportunities while maintaining strong integrity and a professional positive attitude.
Demonstrating commitment through developing strategies and programs to attract candidates within a defined budget, meeting the needs of hiring managers throughout the organization with predetermined hiring criteria.
Acting with integrity when screening candidates, ensuring they meet minimum qualification guidelines for each role and can become a valuable contributor to the team.
Embodying the spirit of connectedness by assisting with building a strong network of application sources (universities, organizations, trade schools, etc.) to ensure a consistent qualified pool of candidates for available positions.
Showing reliability through participating at relevant job/career fairs, industry-specific tradeshows with potential for recruitment of various positions, presentations at universities/trade schools/military retirement offices as well as Company-sponsored events to ensure maximum exposure.
Encouraging connectedness by projecting a professional image as a representative of the Company to external customers and fellow team members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate has previous experience working in a Human Resources position where they were heavily involved with recruiting and can be described as self-motivated. Other qualifications include:
Must possess High School Diploma/GED, while college/university education is preferred.
Must have at least two years of previous experience in a Human Resources position which involved recruitment, while aviation recruiting experience is highly preferred.
Must have previous experience conducting different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, etc.) and selection processes (phone screenings, reference checks, etc.).
Must have strong decision-making and critical evaluation skills while also have professional networking and communication skills, to include verbal and written communication.
Must be able to work in a team setting or autonomously to deliver on objectives.
Must be comfortable maintaining deadlines and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Must be comfortable speaking in front of all size groups, both internally for the Company and outside the organization.
Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
Must be detail-oriented, have a high level of accuracy, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Must have a high proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); prefer previous experience with HRIS.
Must be able to travel out of state and around Alaska on small aircraft to rural locations.
Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 Vaccination by date of hire unless already employed by Corvus Airlines Inc. dba Ravn Alaska.
Must have a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
Must be comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically associated with operating aircraft.
